It’s almost time for the Social Media Dallas Showcase, and I am more than jazzed about the range of insights to be revealed in our September 17th event. This year, there isn’t a common new platform or predominant new technique. Instead, presentations show that social media now goes far beyond fan engagement and is clearly an integral part of the overall marketing mix. To wit, the case studies selected demonstrate how social media is being used to achieve the following business objectives:
New product introduction
Penetrating a niche target market
Geographic expansion of a brand
Building new excitement for a traditional event
Without further ado, here are the case studies and presenters selected for the 5th Annual Social Media Showcase.
State Fair of Texas, to be presented by Jennifer Schuder, Vice President of Marketing. The presentation explains how they solved the challenge of translating the tradition of the 129-year-old State Fair of Texas to a modern visual identity.
Chevrolet, to be presented by Miker Stovall, Senior Vice President at Fleischman Hilliard. The campaign kicked off with the world’s first ever all emoji press release, and focused on launching the 2016 Cruze to the millennial market.
Papa John’s, to be presented by Macy English, VP of Sales & Marketing of SocialCentiv. The campaign helped the Houston Rockets engage customers and increase sales during basketball season.
Topo Chico, to be presented by Giovanni Gallucci. The company used social media to engage musicians and create a brand ambassador program.
Santa Holiday Campaign, to be presented by Tucker Smith of Standing Dog Interactive. The campaign raised awareness for the many holiday events at NorthPark Center.
New Belgium Brewery, to be presented by Jeff Schick of iProspect. The case study addresses how New Belgium raised awareness in new geographic areas and increased affinity amount the craft brew community.
Attendees to this year’s Showcase will learn how the presenters achieved measurable results using budgets ranging from $2k to $45k among those that disclosed. You’ll hear how a wide variety of engagement platforms were used, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Presenters will also speak to use of SocialCentiv, a specialized Twitter engagement tool, and SocialCode, a paid social ads API platform.
The Showcase is typically our largest event of the year, so REGISTER early to get a seat. It’s from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17th, at the Angelika in Mockingbird Station.
Social Media Dallas would like to say a special thanks to our Showcase Sponsor, DG Cause Marketing Agency.
