Social Media Dallas New LookBack in January we announced that in 2014, we would be re-branding our organization. And it’s finally here! I’m proud to announce that at our October 16 event, we revealed our new name as selected by our board and our members: Social Media Dallas!

We’ve got a great new look and logo, courtesy of our creative partner, Launch. We’re also in the process of changing our brand name across all our online homes, so you’ll start to see our name and image transition to our new look. Keep up to date with us on social media.

While our look and our name is changing, our organization and our mission remains the same: We’re still the same professional networking group dedicated to exploring digital, social media and word-of-mouth marketing best practices. We’ll continue to have monthly events on the third Thursdays of the month, and we’ll continue to host the same caliber of expert speakers and panels, keeping us up to date on the latest in the social media marketing space.

Our upcoming event on November 20 is a panel on Social Giving, Social Good, which will explore how online and word of mouth marketing can facilitate fundraising and awareness efforts for nonprofits. Tanner Hockensmith of the ALS Association will share about harnessing social media with the #icebucketchallenge, Megan Van Groll of the Richards Group will discuss the Salvation Army and #redkettlereason, and Carol Goglia of Communities Foundation of Texas will share her experience with North Texas Giving Day. Don’t miss it!
